Jiri Dvorsky - photographer and cinematographer

Born in Pilsen, Czech Republic. He emigrated to Austria in 1987 and lived in the USA from 1989. He is living now partly in Pilsen, Czech Republic and partly in Hawaii, USA.
 He worked as a sound recordist at Czech Television in Prague in the 80s. Simultaneously he worked on independent movies as a DP/cinematographer. (1988 International Film Festival BRNĚNSKÁ ŠESTNÁCTKA, Czech Republic - the Best Cinematography Award for his work on "ZROZENÍ A SMRT" ). Since 2003 he has been working as a freelance DP/Cinematographer on projects for the National TV stations as Czech Television, Television Barrandov, Television Prima and many other independent productions.

In the USA he has worked as a Director of Photography for: C-SPAN (Washington DC), AT&T BROADBAND (Massachusetts), FUTURIAN FILMS (New York), FILMWORKS PACIFIC (Hawaii), MULTIMEDIA (Hawaii) and others. 
Dvorsky has worked on numerous short and feature-length films. He garnered the Best Cinematography Award at the 2002 NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL for his work on "WAIKIKI - IN THE WAKE OF DREAMS".

He has been doing photography since his childhood. He has specialized in many fields of Fine Art Photography. The scope of his work has grown to include projects in both the United States and Europe. 
In the USA he has worked as a photographer for: HONOLULU WEEKLY, VENTURE, DRIVEN, HILTON HAWAII, and in the Czech Republic for: MF DNES and has been published in LIDÉ A ZEMĚ.
Some of his photo exhibitions: BOSTON (Massachusetts USA), ASHLAND (Oregon USA), HONOLULU (Hawaii USA), PILSEN (Czech Republic), PRAGUE (Czech Republic).
